The small hardcover editions are convenient but well bound and sturdy, ideal for quick reference (but for all practical purposes impossible to use at the keyboard and scattered with textual inaccuracies). This edition of the "Urtext" ofWTCwas prepared by Tamás Zászkaliczky and presents the score without fingerings, variants, or commentary. There is a thematic index of the 48 preludes and fugues in the front.
